From HISPANIC Magazine's FEBRUARY 2006 Issue

Hispanic Magazine was honored to present the magazine’s prestigious 11th Annual Hispanic Entrepreneur Awards December 1, 2005 at New York City’s St. Regis Hotel.

The award is presented to those who have distinguished themselves as the top Hispanic entrepreneurs in the U.S. These business owners were recognized not only for their achievements, but also for the role that they’ve played in bringing to light the success of millions of Hispanic business owners nationwide whose spirit is fueling America’s economic engine.

This year’s recipients include Maria Welch and Roberto Allen, CEO and president of Baltimore-based Respira Medical, an independent provider of clinical respiratory care services and home medical equipment; Richard A. Castro, a McDonald’s owner/operator; David Perez, CEO of Hispanic marketing strategy firm Latin Force; and Ben Gutierrez, chairman and CEO of McMullen Tool Supply, one of the premier cutting tool suppliers in the greater Detroit area. The event was sponsored by Allianz Life, ING and Prudential Financial.
