The Migrant Project: Contemporary California Farm Workers
This exhibit features the work of photographer, writer and filmmaker Rick Nahmias and focuses on the lives and the struggle of the migrant farm workers in California.Held at the Fullerton Museum Center, 301 North Pomona Avenue, East of Harbor Boulevard, Fullerton. Smilin’ Island Art Goes on a Road Trip
The newest exhibition at the Buell Children’s Museum complements the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center’s “I-25” exhibition with art exhibits and activities about road trips, including County High School students’ decorated giant beach umbrellas and wildlife paintings by Mary Helsaple. Verstirse Como Dioses: Oaxaca Prehispánica

Gary Soto
One of the youngest poets to appear in the “Norton Anthology of Modern Poetry” and whose prolific career includes essays, plays and screenplays. Gary Soto is very well known for his children’s books. MAmBO Open Bowling Tournament
The annual Mexican-American Bowling Organization bowling tournament will be held at the Reno Hilton Bowling Center in Reno. Events include singles, men and women divisions, mixed trios, and doubles.
